The next royal generation is going to come soon. From the time Prince William and Kate Middleton married, there have been a lot of speculations on them starting a family. They had to announce their pregnancy news a little prematurely as Kate had to be admitted in hospital for acute morning sickness. The palace soon announced the baby will be born in the month of July and just might coincide with Princess Diana’s birthday. Though, Prince Charles had given his opinion and the Queen changed the royal decree in favor of the future great grandchild, there have been a noticeable silence from Prince Harry.
The reason for his silence is because he was serving his period in Afghanistan since last September. He will be returning home soon. When he was asked about how he feels about becoming an uncle, he said he can’t wait to become one and said, “Obviously I’m thrilled for both of them. It’s about time,” he joked. The Prince was interviewed in Afghanistan and he said he spoke to his brother and sister-in-law over the phone. Unlike the allegations made against him, he denied texting or writing to the royal couple when their baby news came out last December.
He added, “I spoke to my brother and her, and they’re both very well and both very happy obviously, I think it’s very unfair that they were forced to publicize it when they were, but that’s just the media for you.”
The royal couple had to reveal the news early due to Kate’s hospitalization. Though Harry was interviewed 10 days after the announcement, the interview was kept a secret for security reasons. Harry was in charge of the weaponry on his crew’s Apache attack helicopter.
He also said, “I literally am very, very happy for them, but I just only hope that she and him – but mainly Catherine – hopefully that she gets the necessary protection to allow her as a mother-to-be to enjoy the privacy that that comes with. I seriously hope that’s going to be able to happen.”
Prince Harry is expected to be back to London soon and all set to become a doting uncle!
